The Believe Campaign
Let Project Cuddle™ help you
meet your statewide legal obligation to educate public
elementary, junior high, and high school students
about bill AB2817:
The Safe Surrender Law.
The
Law
The Believe Campaign and Project Cuddle™
video fulfills the requirement of a new state amendment
for sex education classes in public schools. Let us
help you meet your legal obligations that require
public elementary, middle/junior high schools, and
high schools to teach sex education classes to include
information about how to safely and legally get an
unwanted baby into the hands of trained and caring
professionals.
Bill
AB 2817 states:
"Advise pupils of
the provision so Section 1255.37 of the Health and
Safety Code and Section 271.5 of the new Penal Code,
relating to parents and others who voluntarily surrender
physical custody of a minor child 72 hours old or
younger at a hospital emergency room or other designated
location without being subject to prosecution for
violation of certain crimes such as child abandonment.
In developing and providing this advice, school districts,
and public schools may adopt and use for this purpose
appropriate information and materials developed by
non profit organizations with experience in child
abandonment."
